Nobody wakes up after a long sleep looking picture perfect, I don't care who you are. Bedhead is very real and so is gunk in your eyes. Give yourself a fighting chance by at least going to bed with a clean face, or at the very least, makeup free.
Rule #1 of beauty: always remove makeup before going to bed. Leaving that stuff on can wreak havoc on your natural and fake lashes. Not to mention the horrors it does to your pores through the night.
Here's a recipe I found. I don't wear makeup much, so haven't had the opportunity to try it, but will post updates when I do.
DIY makeup remover oil.
3 Tbsp Witch Hazel
2 Tbsp apricot kernel oil, or jojoba oil
Put in a bottle and shake well before each use. To use apply to a cotton pad and wipe the pad over your face being careful around the eye area.
Disclaimer: This is by no means medically tested and try this idea at your own risk. If you notice any adverse reaction, stop trying it. NOTE: This solution is not properly preserved, so store in fridge not longer than a week, then throw any leftovers away.
