How Sweet It Is...

How Sweet It Is...

Honey is a thick, sweet, sticky substance that is as ancient as the pyramids (it actually goes back further than that). There are two main types of honey and the best stuff to use is raw honey. It is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent making it excellent to use on our skin especially if we suffer from issues such as acne .It  is full of antioxidants and is also a natural humectant. This is particularly good for dry or aging skin. Also the enzymes in raw honey breakdown and dissolve pore clogging dirt. That's an awesome bonus.

Treat yourself with a honey facial. Here are three that are simple and with ingredients you probable already have in your kitchen.

  • 2 teaspoons raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Combine the lemon juice and honey, and apply the mixture to your face. Allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes. Lemon juice exfoliates your skin, brightens dark spots and fades scars.
