I was so happy to see the sunshine instead of rain. Especially since it had been raining so much. The weather report promised rain for three more days. Oh well I won’t complain.
went out to the garden to see how all the plants were doing. I finally got
everything planted. I can see some lettuce starting to come up. I know
it’s a bit late for our region, but better late than never. Aside from all the
wonderful recipes that I plan to make (or dream of creating), some of this
produce would be excellent for the skin.
First we have strawberries:
These little beauties are sweet, juicy, and great for you. Full of vitamins,
minerals, and fibre they can be considered a super food. They are so delicious
too. Strawberries contain alpha-hydroxy acids making them an ideal choice for a
fresh exfoliating mask. They are also
high in vitamin C which helps brighten dull tired skin not to mention defending
against free radical damage.
8-10 large fresh strawberries rinsed well under cool
1 tbsp honey
Before trying any mask, spot test first on a small area
first (the inside of your forearm is a good spot) to see if you develop a

small bowl, with a fork. Add the honey and mix well. Cleanse your face
thoroughly and rinse well then pat dry with a soft towel. Apply the mask and
lay back comfortably. Allow the mask to work for 15-20 min. Rinse with tepid
water and pat dry again. Follow with a light moisturizer.
