Hydrate Yourself!

 It's summer time! Well almost. Time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine in all its goodness, using protection of course. Working or playing requires hydration, especially outside in the heat. Truth be told I do not drink enough water. Knowing that I started to drink more water everyday. I try to get 8 glasses, but I'll admit it's boring. Time to liven up my water.

I've been hearing about flavoured waters and they seemed very interesting. I like to try new things and am a big fan of going natural, so I decided to give this flavoured water thing a try.  Enter my rendition of flavoured water (see my recipe below). It was a refreshing change to just plain water. I think I will try using other fruits, fresh herbs of a combination of the two. Mango Ginger Flavoured Water
1 1.5 litre mason jar
1 mango peeled and cubed
1 inch piece of fresh ginger peeled and macerated
500 ml of water
Put mango and ginger in jar. Pour water over mango and ginger. Top with ice cubes and let sit in refrigerator overnight. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
