7  Simple Beauty Tips

Here are 7 beauty tips you can add to your regimen. These simple tips don't require much more than what is probably already in your cabinets.

  • Dry hands and feet? Before going to bed, apply a heavy body butter or a petroleum jelly (not my favourite option) and cover with socks (yes hands too, unless you have cotton gloves) .
  • Flaky lips – dip a new toothbrush in a bit of water then sugar. Use this to scrub lips. Follow with an awesome lip balm.
  • After a shower apply body butter while skin is still slightly damp. This will keep you skin moisturized longer.
  • Add a few drops of peppermint oil to the floor of your shower in the morning. The smell will invigorate you. Try lavender oil in the evening to help relax you. (CAUTION: do not apply ANY essential oil directly to your skin.)
  • Try eucalyptus oil in shower if you’re suffering from congestion. The warmth of the shower with the oil will help clear you up. (See previous caution note)
  • Give your hair a hot oil treatment. Use olive oil or coconut oil and warm slightly (be careful test temperature so as not to burn yourself) apply to hair and wrap in plastic to keep in the heat. Shower out after 20 min or longer.
  • Turn off electronic devices 40 minutes before bed. You’ll have more restful sleep.
