6 Steps To Get That Spring Glow

It seems like just yesterday we were changing up our skincare for the dry winter weather, now it’s time to get ready for warmer days. We’ve been locked up inside and we are going to want to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Here are 6 things to remember when changing up your skincare for the spring

  1. Start with a clean house: ditch the old and bring in the new. Get rid of old sponges, blenders, tools. They could be harboring harmful bacteria and are probable less effective. Who doesn’t love a reason to go shopping?
  2. Moisture is your friend: Now that warmer weather is here, you may be tempted to ditch moisturizers altogether. This is the time to opt for something that is light yet effective.
  3. Sunscreen is a must: Sunscreen is important for everyone. With more sun exposure and the UV index higher this time of year, make sure you adjust your SPF accordingly.
  4. Exfoliate: Start with the correct type of exfoliator for your skin type whether it be chemical or mechanical. Remember the objective is to remove dead skin, not live cells. You shouldn’t feel raw or sting as a result. Limit it to no more than twice a week.
  5. Eye bright: Pay attention to your eyes. This is a good time to invest in a good eye serum.
  6. Get your vitamins in: We need vitamins in our bodies and on the outside too. Look for products that contain things like tocopherol (vitamin E) and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) niacin (vitamin B3)to name a few.
