We enjoyed the lazy hazy days of summer, but now it's time to start thinking about regular work schedules, going back to school, and prepping for fall. My biggest question is what to do with the mass of curls on my head and how can I style it. I asked around and got some great advice which I'd like to share with you.
Keshana King is one of the lovliest people I've ever met and her hair is always on point (to me it is anyway). She was gracious enough to share her tips and techniques to get your crowning glory on point. If you have any questions or comments for leave them in the section below so that she can answer them.

Have you ever looked in the mirror while getting ready for work or school, and said, “I don't know what to do with my hair?” If you answered yes, you are not the only one.
One of the greatest challenges of having natural hair is developing a steady regimen that allows naturals to obtain their health and length goals. It can seem difficult to develop a solid routine or find easy hairstyles, but thankfully, it is not impossible.
Today I’ll be sharing with you my natural hair routine, a 2 week regimen that I use in taking care of my natural hair. Whether you're a new natural or have been natural for some time, I hope you find something in this routine that works for you!
Day 1: Shampoo, condition, deep condition. Style in a braid out, twist out, or wash n go.
Day 2: Moisturize as needed.
Day 3: Oil scalp and massage. Moisturize as needed.
Day 4: Refresh style in a braid out, twist out, or wash n go.
Day 5: Moisturize as needed.
Day 6: Oil scalp and massage. Moisturize as needed.
Day 7: Moisturize as needed.
Day 1: Shampoo, condition, deep condition. Style in a protective style (cornrows, halo braid, flat twists, single twists)
Day 4: Refresh style and oil ends.
Don't forget to complete the routine by treating your hair with protein every month or every six to eight weeks if you are using a serious reconstructing treatment! Make sure you do a strand test to make sure you are not protein-sensitive.
Now that you have a sample regimen, tweak your own routine accordingly. Best of luck, and as they say, “May your fro grow and your skin glow!”
