Mother's Day is this Sunday, and if you're still scrambling to find a gift for mom, don't worry. We've rounded up some of our favorite ideas to help make your decision easier.
You can't go wrong with chocolate. It's a universal favorite and it doesn't matter if you're the one who loves to eat it or not, your mom will appreciate the gesture. Include some of her favorites in the basket, as well as some of yours and maybe even some from your kids! If she's into flowers, include some beautiful blooms that will help brighten up her day.
Flowers are a great way to show your mom you care. Flowers can be delivered to her work or home on Mother's Day, so she can enjoy them all day long. Flowers are a great gift idea because they're both thoughtful and beautiful!
If your mom loves a good massage or facial, a spa gift card is the perfect choice. Make sure you get one that covers the services she likes and will use--you don't want to get her a $50 gift card that only covers manicures and pedicures when she wants massages!
Spa gift cards can be used for a variety of services including facials, waxing and massages at salons across town. You can also get them for things like yoga classes or even personal training sessions if your mom is into working out more often than just once in awhile.
Homemade scented candles are a great gift for any mom, and they're incredibly easy to make. If you have access to soy wax, which is made from soybeans and not animal products, then this is an even better choice for your vegan friends and family members.
You can use any essential oil or blend of oils that you want--just make sure it's safe for use in candle making! You can find more information about this on our website: [link].
To get started with making your own homemade candle:
Melt down some soy wax in a double boiler (or simply put it in a pot over low heat). Add colorant if desired; we recommend using liquid dye instead of powder so there won't be leftover residue inside your jar later on when its used as an air freshener or diffuser! The amount depends on how darkly colored you want it; we recommend starting out with 2 teaspoons per pound of wax used here today.*
Pour into molds while still warm so they'll set quickly before cooling completely at room temperature overnight.*
A photo album or scrapbook is a great way to show your mom how much you appreciate her. Choose some of your favorite pictures from when you were younger, as well as photos of the two of you having fun together and doing things that she likes. You can also include an index card with a note about each picture so that she will know exactly what it means to you!
You can make jewelry with beads and other materials. You can use tools like a needle and thread, or you can use wire, metal and more.
If you want to go the wire route: Wire is great because it's easy to work with and won't break easily (which means fewer lost beads!). To make this necklace, simply wrap one end of your wire around each end of your pendant then twist them together in the middle. Then just keep adding on beads until your design is complete!
For those who prefer ribbon: Try using ribbon instead of stringing multiple strands together--it'll add some texture without being too bulky or heavy on one side when worn around someone's neck/wrist/ankle area (or wherever else they choose).
Whether you're looking for something quick and easy or have some time on your hands, these gifts are sure to please mom. The best part about all of these ideas is that they can be made by hand or purchased at a local store. Don't forget to plan ahead so you don't end up scrambling around last minute!
